BMW introduced the 535xi variant of their E60 5 Series for the 2008 model year. The 535xi was a four wheel drive version of the E60 535i, and was fitted with BMW's xDrive all wheel drive system. This range of cars were powered by BMW's N54B30 engine. This 3.0L inline six engine featured twin-turbochargers and produced 302hp. Both sedan and station wagon body styles were available as well as manual and automatic transmissions. Production of the E60 535xi lasted until 2010, when it was reborn in the next generation BMW F10 5 Series.
