The BMW M4 CS was a high performance variant of the F82 BMW M4 that debuted for the 2018 model year. The M4 CS, which stands for Competition Sport, was only built in the coupe body style. The CS was powered by a tuned version of BMW's S55 engine, which was a twin-turbo 3.0L inline six with an output of 453hp. Drive from the engine drove the rear wheels through a 7 speed DCT automatic transmission. In addition to the more powerful engine, the CS also saw significant weight savings over the Base Model M4, as well as various small improvements that made for a more focused driving experience. Just 3,000 examples of the BMW M4 CS were built before the end of production in 2020.
