The standard, or Base Model for the G80 BMW M3 debuted for the 2021 model year. The Base G80 M3 was only offered in a sedan body style, with BMW's S58 engine, which is a twin-turbocharged 3.0L inline six. This engine generates 473hp which is sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual transmission. While offered with various options, the Base M3 is the only G80 variant offered with a manual transmission or rear wheel drive.
