The M3 Convertible was one of two body styles introduced for the BMW E46 M3. Introduced for the 2001 model year, the E46 M3 was powered by BMW's S54B32 inline six engine. This 3.25L inline six engine produced 338hp in European spec, whereas North American market engines generated 333hp due to emissions restrictions. Two transmission options were available, the 6 speed manual, which is covered in this market, or the 6 Speed Sequential Manual Gearbox (SMG). Production of 6 Speed equipped E46 M3 convertibles continued until 2006, when the next generation BMW E90 M3 debuted.
