The Austin Seven was a family of compact economy cars introduced in 1923. The Seven was a massively successful car, inspiring a number of licenced versions worldwide. These cars were available in various body styles including tourers, convertibles, saloons, coupes, and vans. The Seven was powered by a 747cc inline four engine that generated 7hp, which it sent to the rear wheels via a manual transmission. Production of the Austin Seven lasted until 1939, with an estimated 290,000 examples built.
