For the 2009 model year, Aston Martin introduced their updated version of the V8 Vantage, known as the V8 Vantage 4.7. Available in both Coupe and Roadster body styles, the 4.7 replaced the previous 4.3 and featured a larger version of its predecessor's AJ37 engine. This 4.7L V8 engine produced 420hp and 347 lb ft of torque, which was sent to the rear wheels through a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automated manual transmission. Although Aston introduced the sportier V8 Vantage S for the 2011 model year, the V8 Vantage 4.7 remained in production until 2016.
