In 1999, the Aston Martin DB7 received a substantial facelift as well as a new V12 powerplant. This updated DB7 is known as the DB7 Vantage. These cars were offered in both Coupe and Volante (Aston's name for convertibles) body styles, and were built in rear wheel drive configuration. The DB7 Volante was powered by a 414hp 5.9L V12 engine that was paired to a 6 speed manual or 5 speed automatic transmission. Production of the Aston Martin DB7 Volante ended in 2004 when the model was replaced by the Aston Martin DB9.
