Aston Martin introduced the DB6 in 1965. The DB6 was an evolution of the previous DB5, featuring the same engine options through the range, as well as offering a Volante version. A notable change for the DB6 was the adjustment to manufacturing methods, Aston Martin began to veer away from Touring's Superleggera construction in order to give their cars greater rigidity. While visually similar to its predecessor, the DB6 can be told apart by the rear spoiler as well its split front and rear bumpers, as well as a larger body, which increased headroom and rear passenger space.
