The Giulia Quadrifoglio was the performance focused variant of the Type 952 Alfa Romeo Giulia that debuted for the 2017 model year. The Quadrifoglio name, commonly abbreviated as QV, has often featured on sporty Alfa Romeos in the past, with a trademark four leaf clover adorning the front wings of these vehicles. In addition to the notable badging, the Giulia Quadrifoglio had more aggressive bodywork than the Base Model, as well as a diffuser in the rear bumper. While upgrades to the suspension and brakes were notable, the biggest performance improvement was the engine. These cars were powered by a 2.9L twin-turbo V6 engine that was purpose built by Ferrari engineers and has an output of 503hp. Drive from the engine is sent to the rear wheels through an 8 speed automatic transmission (a 6 speed manual was available in Europe). A special edition of the Quadrifoglio known as the NRING was offered for the 2019 model year.
